Eden is in the middle of a natural paradise. Ben Boyd National Park is a short drive north, where you can take the sandy walking track through banksia trees to the Pinnacles. Or, you can drive to the southern section of Ben Boyd National Park and visit Ben Boyd's Tower and Davidson Whaling Station Historic Site. Be sure to stop at the historic Seahorse Inn for coffee or lunch.

The coastline around Eden and Twofold Bay is stunning! Whether you explore it by road and foot, or by scenic flight from nearby Merimbula Airport, or by water, on one of Cat Balou's sceninc coastal tours, you are sure to be impressed.

The Eden area has many parks and gardens, open to the public, as well as beautiful swimming and surf beaches. Our local 18-hole golf course is five minutes away from Eden Lakeside Bed and Breakfast, and there are several others near by. Lake Curalo, the estuary across the road, is teeming with birdlife. Borrow our kayaks or bicycles, or take a walk on the Allan Gibson Boardwalk.

Eden is still a fishing town, with fresh seafood and locally-grown oysters and mussels all year round. The town really comes to life in October and November when the humpback whales migrate through the local waters. When the whale siren sounds, people head out to one of several vantage points to watch these beautiful creatures as they frolic in Twofold Bay. The best place to be, however, is on the water. During whale season, Cat Balou Cruises will take you out again for free if you don't sight a whale on your first trip. Other native animals are accessible all year at the nearby animal refuge, Potoroo Palace.
